Can everyone tell where this is? I was back on campus the 22nd and took a covert picture so they wouldn’t confiscate my illegal camera. I got to see the Cirque du Soleil show, Dralion. It was my first Cirque show and I was definitely impressed. I participated in the clown wedding (I was a confetti thrower) and I was awed by the trampoline act. For having little to no English, it was incredibly good. I got to nerd out a little when the clowns spoke mangled Italian phrases in conjunction with made up language and it was great being back at home. Everyone should see a Cirque show at some point in their life. It’s worth it.
Hope everyone’s still having a good break. For those of us who were dorm-dwellers and were sent back to our families, I hope you’re not going stir crazy. I haven’t gone crazy yet, but I got a glimpse of home today. Back on campus in 11 days. So the countdown begins.
I have been taking advantage of my free time this week to make sure I go to the gym every day. I’m a TUF kind of person. And if anyone else is, you might want to know that the hours will be a little different this week. I snapped a photo of them to post. Good luck with finals everyone!
Anonymous asked: how did you get box seats?
A family friend’s company owns a box in the stadium. I was lucky to be offered a ticket since they knew I was a Temple Student. The company uses the box seats as marketing for their company.
Great Picture from a Johnson and Hardwick Dorm.
-The Temple building could use some power washing though.
Temple University’s football games look great from a box seat. Free food, drinks, comfortable chairs, and televisions airing the game. Absolute luxury. If you can ever do it. DO.
Today I tried the new gym (new as in it’s been there all semester). Honestly my biggest hesitation in going is I had no idea where the main entrance was, as stupid as that is. Of course I found it (it’s around the back behind Q’doba for anyone else who doesn’t know). It’s actually quite nice. I like it much better than the other gym. It’s slightly closer to my apartment and I only ever go to the gym for the cardio equipment, which it has plenty of. There are rowing machines, stationary bikes, free weights, and plenty of weight machines but the treadmills and ellipticals make up the bulk of the equipment. The best part of the gym, I would have to say, is the ability to watch Broad Street as you run on the treadmill or use the elliptical. People watching makes the time go by faster and since the people are all below you, no awkward eye contact. (Although there was one guy I made eye-contact with from the street, but I’m pretty sure he looks up at the women whenever he walks by the gym.) Overall, I would recommend this gym over the IBC simply because it fits my needs better. If you are in the mood for a game of basketball or a run around the track though, the IBC is still where it’s at.

I tried to explore the world of wireless printing in Alter Hall today, and when I say explore I mean tried to print a project 20 minutes before it was due. It was a complete failure. I thought it was a simple, click print and swipe your card thing like it is at Club Tech….It’s not. After a few unsuccessful swipes I googled “How to print in Alter Hall.” This is the site I got. I installed the program and followed directions. I thought it would’ve helped, but it didn’t. I instead ran to the Honors Lounge in Tuttleman and printed and RAN back to my class. My next step is finding someone who CAN print in Alter and having them explain it to me. I’ll let you know how to do it when I do.
